This show sometimes hits my bondage kink too. But my bondage kink is less strung up on the ceiling and more handcuffed or hands tied behind back and kneeling on floor. Or really, just hands tied behind back will do.

Hands tied behind back and kneeling is my aesthetic as well. Though, guys in chains generally look nice.

I can get where you're coming from but usually the context it happens on the show - that it's not just violent but in the context of actual serial murder - makes me feel too guilty and bad to actually enjoy it

Yup. I don't find the show does it for me very often in the context of victims (outside of occasionally when its a main character). I do find it does it for me more often in the context of unsubs who have been arrested and handcuffed.

That's actually a really interesting distinction, and also makes sense w what you said above!

I think the distinction for me is partially the type of bondage kink I have and partially that I can't be turned on by a nameless victim? Like, with a main character, I know who they are, so the discomfort isn't there for me. But with the random victim of the episode, I just can't get past that discomfort even if it does happen to hit a kink of mine.

For me it's more the lack of consent/violence, but also that like, if you're turned on by it, you're implicitly sharing the position of the unsub (in terms of narrative structure and how the fictional construct of the episode works - I am NOT saying that there's anything more substantive behind that - but it makes me very uncomfortable)

I like some of it but I'm more drawn to when the bondage/trauma is happening to the main cast. I especially love when they're freed and their fellow agents show concern for them.

+1 this is definitely my jam w this show

Same :D. We may not be able to jump through the TV and fuss over the team member who's been hurt, but we can live through the team members who DO fuss over them instead.

(And those moments are just another sweet reminder of how much these guys care about and look after each other, too, which helps :).)

Yes.

(Anonymous) 2017-03-13 10:55 pm (UTC)(link)
This show doesn't really stir that sort of kink for me, but I totally get where it would for others, yeah.

(As for that last shot of Morgan, I love how this show gave us any chance we could to see his chest :p. Mind, I prefer to see it when he's not suffering some kind of nasty torture in the process, but still...)

Yes to Morgan's chest. Though the best shot was still that one of him coming out of Garcia's shower, wearing only a towel. He is the only bald man I've ever found hot. His body totally makes up for the lack of hair.

He is the only bald man I've ever found hot.

LOL, same :p.

But yeah, yeeeeeeees to that shower scene. That was...very nice. Mmhm. He's a ridiculously attractive man, for sure.

(On the note of Morgan, they just reran his last episode of the show on TV here and I'm reminded all over again of how much I miss him :(. And how much that episode made me cry.)

just found out that Shemar's returning to CM - I was wondering why his name was trending on Facebook and it was because of his announcement Morgan was rejoining the team. The cast comings and goings make my head spin!

(Anonymous) 2017-03-17 08:23 am (UTC)(link)
Yep, showing up in the season finale :D!

I'm happy about that. After all that's happened this season, having him there will be a much needed bright spot for everyone, Reid especially. And it'll be fun to see Garcia's reaction when Luke and Morgan are in the same room, too :p.
