Me neither. Maybe OP is trying to point out that writers make no money but artists do? Except artists mostly make money through commissions, not original artwork, which is a totally separate thing. So I have no idea what they're talking about that wouldn't be obvious.

Someone thinking your cover of a song they already love on YouTube is great doesn't mean they'll love your original music.

Yeah and if we're talking Patreon, a lot of artists don't even make $300 a month on it, so it's not like being an artist vs a writer is any better for that particular platform. To make money as an artist you need to work on other people's projects through studios/freelance, it's just as difficult to make money with your own content as an artist.

Except porn. Porn artists are the notable exception here. Everything else though? Yeah.

Is it easy to make money drawing porn? I feel like it's the same deal where you still gotta get people to commission you.

Like I also feel like porn drawings would be the first to be stolen by porn sites without receiving any compensation for it.

Easier than any other genre, at least it looks like. Popular porn comics with high quality porn art get thousands per month. Top of my head

(Except your example is disgusting.)

That's... irrelevant but cool beans?

We're talking about what sells, and pretty sure the artist making 4k+ a month don't care.

Why?

How can you tell? All the art is locked. I wouldn't mind looking at it, but you have to pay to see anything, so.....

StudioFOW is pretty popular and they get most money from impatient folks who want early releases or want short commissions.

Yeah, my initial response to the secret was that $300 a month wasn't bad at all.
