I'm actually a fairly good amalgam, and only later in life realized this is not the case for everyone.

It's funny how I look so much like whichever parent I'm standing next to, but myself and all of my paternal female cousins are very much like some sort of human version of copy/paste. XD My brother and I don't look ANYTHING alike at all, to the point where if we're out we've been mistaken for bf/gf and not brother and sister because there's absolutely no resemblance, even though he got all of my grandmother's colouring and I got all of the visual aspects (and curls).

My one maternal cousin though, looks EXACTLY like her mother, my other maternal cousin looks exactly like HER mother, and both their kids look exactly like my aunt and uncle respectively, it's uncanny.
