It's up to you if you want to respond to each comment or not. I know you can turn commenting off for anons, but I think maybe you can turn off all commenting?

Commenting was rare when I was actively posting to AO3 and I was really just cross posting in case I wanted to delete my LJ some day, which I have long since done. Im not even sure they had commenting at the time, tbh. These days I get the occasional comment but I've never replied to any because I haven't been in fandom under that name in over five years. But people still read some of my fic so I just leave it there. That was the whole point of AO3 in the first place.
