I only have one request and it's likely not happening anyway but still - that a certain part in the book doesn't make it into the movie BECAUSE NO FUCKING THANK YOU.

God, I can't wait for the Castle Rock show because I've always been intrigued by Derry and why the supernatural is drawn to the town (mostly because of It but the town's backstory is fascinating).

There's no way in hell that scene will ever make it in. In this day and age? No chance.

Yeah, in this day and age, people are waaayy to PC to be able to handle a child orgy. Wimps.

I hadn't heard anything about that scene being included and I'd be surprised if it was because... well, yeah. Even if it wasn't explicit, it's still pretty fucked up.

What scene? D:

(Anonymous) 2017-03-20 11:11 pm (UTC)(link)
There's a scene at the end where the kids confront It in the sewers and for some reason the girl in the group ends up fucking all the boys in a weird teenage gangbang.

(Anonymous) 2017-03-20 11:15 pm (UTC)(link)
Not even teenagers. Weren't they all like 10 or 12 or something?

(Anonymous) 2017-03-20 11:29 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, maybe. I don't remember their exact ages.

(Anonymous) 2017-03-21 01:15 am (UTC)(link)
They're about 12, I believe.

I looked up "Stephen King that scene it" because I figured that would be a close enough search term. I found a top-five list with that scene as #1: http://www.houstonpress.com/arts/top-5-sickest-stephen-king-sex-scenes-nsfw-6371394 This thread is also insightful: https://www.reddit.com/r/books/comments/2fuitq/just_finished_it_by_stephen_king_left_confused_by/?st=j0iq69jm&sh=393b70a4

Ah, yes, the magical adolescent vagina scene. I love me some Stephen King, but that was definitely a WTF, dude? read.

It was fucking awful. It was the beginning of the death spiral of my love for King's word--and prior to Shit, I'd memorized them all. That fucking book needed an editor, SK was way too in love with the sound of his own voice and THAT SCENE. Oh my God, what in the fresh hell was he thinking?!?! They want to show their love to make it out of the sewers so they run a TRAIN on Beverly???? Seriously?? It's so fucking disgusting. Not LEAST because there is the strong hint that Beverly has been sexually abused, or that her father is thinking about it (it's inconsistently handled in the book). King has some *weird* issues with women, and girls.
