This reaction seems a little extreme. I think you're reading more negativity into the secret than is actually there since the worst thing OP says is to imply it's "hilariously WTF". That may have been what the artist was going for, given the uh, unusual juxtaposition of Sherlock and Dirty Dancing. You're not giving much credit to johnlock fans for possessing a sense of humor, that's for sure.

WHAT? How does publicly laughing about an artist's work give "credit" to fans??? You're really stretching there.

If the art is DELIBERATELY INTENDED TO BE FUNNY OR SILLY, then getting your panties in a wad about "omg how dare people FIND THIS FUNNY OR SILLY!1!!!!!11! You are LITERALLY EVIL for finding it funny or silly!!!!!!!11!!" is an incredibly stupid reaction. And I don't believe that this art is meant to be super serious. I've spent too much time in fandom to believe that.

Because sometimes fans have a sense of humor and are able to laugh at themselves or create silly fanart that they enjoy, even if it's silly? And that the "OMG how dare you!!!" anon is assuming that the art in question wasn't created for that purpose or that fandom wouldn't find it amusing?
