At least it's portrayed as crossing a line when a man does it. A woman does it and the narrative almost always plays it as a joke.

But why are people considered responsible and able to make their own decisions while drunk at some times and not at others? If you have sex while drunk, somehow you were raped, but if you drive while drunk, that's your own fault? Which is it? Are you incapable or aren't you?

Passive versus active. One is being done to you, the other is you doing something. Especially if, knowing you're impaired, you choose to act in a way that invites harm to others, that's still an actionable offence even if mitigating factors are accepted at trial.

da

Unless you're blackout drunk or severely impaired, choosing to have sex is just as much an active decision as choosing to drive a car is.

And yet drunk young men are the ones getting hit with prosecutions where their drunk girlfriends are having day after guilts.

(Anonymous) 2017-05-16 01:12 am (UTC)(link)
Which is stupid because both of them have equal responsibility if they were both drunk.

Agreed.

Found the redpiller.

The young men getting hit with it are because those are the young men who are not only violent but also deliberately going after the black out drunk girls while being stone cold sober themselves. Do you know how hard it is to get cops to take rape allegations seriously? If it is not a full on slam dunk case then it is not getting near a prosecutor. Even when it is a slam dunk case, the chances are that young man is going to get off Scot Free.

Thank you.

Found Mattress Girl's cheer squad.

Look, there are unscrupulous guys out there. No doubt.

But unfortunately, there are also women who have next day regrets and call it rape. They do tbe girls who have had the misfortune of running into the assholes who then find their credibility called into question a major disservice.

OP

But operating a vehicle while impaired can increase the risk of harm to others, not just you - whereas deciding to have sex when impaired *especially if the other party is not* can cross into regions where the other party took advantage of that state.
