It seems to me that - taken as a whole - something about the format or the production process or something about SNL doesn't really work as a show.

The show has been airing for 42 years.

So I'm mostly just trying to celebrate the actors in a show that doesn't seem good to me anymore I guess.

??????????????????? That is the saddest thing I've ever heard. How can you like the actors but not the show which they write and perform in???????????????????

That's what I'm trying to explain!!!!!

But also, it doesn't seem that uncommon a thing. in fact, I feel like it happens all the time in Hollywood, where you have great people involved in something that just doesn't work out.
