It was a photo buried in the room of a guy who tried to kill Snape as a kid. Not like he broke into her house and took her wedding photo.

Bullying the gross Death Eater = attempted murder now? What of all the people Snape killed or enabled to die while in service of Voldemort?

It doesn't matter anyways. He ripped a family photo and invaded where he had no place to. That photo should go to Harry, if anyone. Snape had no place in their lives and he sure as hell had no right to desecrate their family memories. Also the 'love lily' was meant for Sirius, not for Snape to pretend she's writing to him in his fucked up brain.

If you want to know how fucked up it is how do you think Lily would react seeing her beloved son get ripped out so some creep that bullied her young son relentlessly can keep her image? Lily died to protect Harry, she didn't die so her so-called best friend could make his life even more stressful all while carrying a ripped up photo of her like a creep.

Snape wasn't a death eater at the time so there's no excuse to try to get him killed or sexually assault him.

If we're talking about how Lily would feel, I imagine Snape risking his life and ultimately giving it up to protect Harry out of his love for her would override anything else.

Everything else including the part where Snape said he'd be a-okay with her husband and infant son being murdered?

Giving up his life for said son? Yeah.
