But OP never suggested that "people look hot when wet" was telling the whole story. And you also sort of hinted at - if not outright suggesting - the idea that OP was actually in it for the privacy invasion and vulnerability. I don't know why else you'd say that bit about "if you're into the privacy invasion and vulnerability thing, w/e, your kink".

Beach scenes and rain scenes are also "wet" scenes, but showers have the privacy thing on top whereas the former two generally don't.

This isn't related to the other point I'm making, it's just something I thought of, but: it's really interesting to me the way that the filmic treatment of wetness and water generally tends to differ across those three scenarios. Because they're filmed in totally different ways that suggest totally different and ideas.

Oh I see what happened. I wasn't accusing OP in the specific, it was the general "you" w/r/t how shower scenes are filmed and how the privacy and vulnerability were relevant especially to the female characters. Since they're portrayed as "sexy" scenes almost all the time.

Whereas someone standing in rain, while wet, isn't.

Well, someone standing in the rain definitely *can* be. It just usually isn't shot that way, but it's definitely doable.

While true, the point was that almost nobody chooses to do it that way. So it can't simply be the fact that some people are "hot when wet" that drives the prevalence of shower scenes especially to female characters. If the general you are into that then again, w/e, your kink, but like, take in consideration that shower scenes are filmed to be voyeuristic and "sexy" and it's not just wetness.

Sure sure.
