I didn't realize that merely having a different setting with more or less the same plot was creative enough by your standards. Now I think I understand what you mean, but I'm still puzzled because OP's Indiana Jones idea sounds like it meets that standard and the secret specifically mentions "additional creativity" per your comment, but you're still taking issue with it.

I mentioned nothing of creativity standards, don't know where you're coming from with that.

However, if you're going to take anon saying "additional creativity is needed" to mean "we should change this person's gender but then also add creativity like a different time period, setting, and totally different cultural context from which to interpret the story" then call that "a genderswap" you've added so much that it's not accurate to call it simply a gender swap any more. That is more of a total AU.
