Given that the entire premise of Larries is that they're protesting homophobia in entertainment

I'm quite sure that a big chunk of Larrie shippers just like the idea of Harry and Louis together. The entire fandom is not comprised of tinhats. I doubt even half the fandom is comprised of tinhats. And it's a pet peeve of mine when people decide that a loud and annoying fraction of a particular fandom justifies automatically treating everyone from that fandom as suspect or problematic.

That said, tinhats are definitely annoying. And slash-shipping RPF tinhats who insist their ship is real despite everything the real people who comprise their ship say on the matter are definitely objectionable and deserve to be harshly criticized for their bullshit. No argument there.
