I will admit, that was my first thought on seeing them too. Once they're on her hands are basically clubs that shoot and nothing else. I thought I saw a bit of footage that makes them look retractable, though? As in, she triggers them to come up when she needs to shoot and then retracts them again when she needs her hands back? That would add a lot of flexibility back in. Personally, though, I would prefer something more like the Iron Man gauntlet that lets you keep your fingers even when armoured, yeah.

I would dearly love to see her and Tony debate something like that, though. Things like flexibility and functionality and recoil and joints, storage and retractability, principles of intimidating design. Mind you, I just like watching people geeking out together.
