For just words, I can kind of see it.

But even still, I'd have a hard time just letting the Mel Gibson thing go.

Would you put one on actions? Because I can't watch Roman Polanski or Woody Allen movies. I can't watch Bill Cosby in anything. I haven't seen anything with Johnny Depp in a while and I don't think I'm going to. And I'm not going to listen to anything with Chris Brown.

Yeah, I mean there's a big difference between "I said something stupid and offensive on TV but have learned since then" and chronic racists, misogynists and abusers. That shit doesn't stand. Period. Especially when they've done nothing to change that behavior on any level except MAYBE hiding it a little better.

Mel Gibson is one I'd never forgive. He hasn't learned or really apologized because he just keeps doing it. I feel like if an actor said something stupid years ago and actually grew from it, apologized, now understands it was wrong, etc.-that's one thing. Mel Gibson isn't one of those people for me.

Actions to me is similar. I can laugh at a character on screen, or 'appreciate' a classic movie, or a movie that's nostalgic to me-but if that actor/actress does something horrible, I can never really see them the same again, or watch that old movie without being grossed out about what they did, if that makes sense. Like I used to love 'Ghost Dad' as a kid. I think it was on the other day streaming somewhere and 5 minutes of it, I couldn't do it anymore. Just knowing what an gross asshole Cosby is kinda deflated the good memories balloon.

For me, I just won't give certain people money. I won't torrent or anything but I won't put any money down if it will go back to their evil hands.

Also, Roman Polanski doesn't show up on film so that makes his work easy to watch. But he's still a pedo rapist and, as a bonus, he's a coward who won't face his punishment.
