What annoys me about Cameron's comments is that he was basically saying Wonder Woman was far too perfect, she needed to be knocked down a few pegs. But Wonder Woman was, imo, a successful female power fantasy. She wasn't objectified, she was fierce in a way that female viewers watched and wanted to be. The filming was perfect - no lingering ass shots, no shots of her looking broken and vulnerable, just her being a titan of a person.

It's okay, on occasion, to have characters like that. Unless Cameron has the same criticism to every perfect male superhero, then I don't want to hear it. Not every powerful woman needs to be a bad mother or have body image issues or needs a man to teach her how to love.
