To be honest, I kind of like having those characters (Luke and Jessica in particular) in a series where they could just be themselves and do their things without the grim, heavy, draining, mature emotional weight of their actual storylines.

Yeah I'm not gonna lie that part of the reason I couldn't finish JJ was that it was so dark. I can handle that for a 90 minute movie, but not for a whole season. And I loved Jessica as a character, I just couldn't get through the series because of the tone of everything else.

Same. Loved her in defenders, but I couldn't get through her show.

I agreed. I much preferred JJ in Defenders because JJ was such a dark show.

Plus, has Jessica Jones, Season 2 come out? maybe they plan to play the fallout there?

I think a lot of it had both to do with time and wrapping up of that particular storyline, which centers a lot on Iron Fist (unfortunately) and Daredevil (who I liked more in this than his second season storyline, but I think that was intentional since in his series we were basically watching his downward spiral.).

Otherwise I was okay with that choice for this round; I liked that I understood Jessica's POV enough that I could understand why she was doing what she was doing, while mostly getting the outsider's view of her. I am hoping that we get more of her and Luke Cage in the next season(s) of the various shows though.

No, I liked it. We got a clear status check with both Luke (thrilled to be out of prison, living with Claire, protecting Harlem, staying clear of the cops) and Jessica (avoiding everyone but Trish, still drinking, not wanting to help anyone yet). Then the story got moving, and honestly, I wish that was the case with more MCU shows!

It seems like JJ series 2 will address at least some of the Kilgrave legacy.

While I might have liked to see a bit more of the fallout from her show(and for Luke) the series didn't really have the time for it so I can forgive that, and personally I enjoyed seeing her in a story that didn't have the same level of emotional grimness that her series did.

I'll wait for JJs2 for some Killgrave fallout tbh, same with the fallout of LC for Luke.

God, I loved her in the Defenders. She was the glue. She was everywhere doing everything, and still her fucked up self. I especially liked the way she connected with the daughter of the architect.

Honestly, I adored her in both JJ and Defenders, and I don't have any complaints at all. I can't wait until her S2.

I get where you're coming from, but I was good with it. I expect that'll happen in season 2 of JJ. They just didn't have the time in Defenders.
