My biggest problem would be nearsightedness. Can I get the right contact solution in fantasy land? What if I break my glasses or need a different perscription? Even if I could afford laser eye surgery, it wouldn't be worth it at this point since I probably have less than a decade to go before I'll need reading glasses anyway.

I have the same problem, but I figure that if I prove myself to be a capable warrior, the fantasy land creatures will be impressed and maybe decide to make me a magical equivalent of glasses, or teach me some alternate way of perception that will make eye-sight unimportant, or teach me to transform into animals, or something else like that.
