I did this when I first started reading English, not with fanfic but with novels. I had little translations jotted above words and read them with a dictionary nearby. It's an excellent way to learn a language. Even before I immigrated I was better at it than the rest of my family and people always wondered why. Reading/watching TV and movies is one of the best ways to learn. I salute you OP for being persistent at it.

Eh, Absolute Obedience is just like the erotica literary genre. Also usually shit writing, but sometimes it just pushes the buttons right.

(I actually found the game sort of fun. If you failed certain missions, your character was the bottom in the sex, and thanks to censorship, there was a terrible STD known as invisi-dick. All my lols.)
