There comes a time when no amount of woobie tragic faces will save a character when they KEEP MAKING THE SAME GODDAMN MISTAKES. For the love of Someone. You made this exact -exact- mistake two seasons ago, honey! It didn't end well! For the love of gods and little fishes, why do some people never learn.

This rant brought to you by woobie trying-to-be-ex-villains that I love and adore and want to punch repeatedly in the face for the next four episodes until they wake the fuck up.

Ahem. We apologise for the interruption, and now return you to your regularly scheduled viewing.

This is about OUAT, isn't it?

Yes, yes it is. I swear to gods, I love that man but there are times I want to stab him in the face with his own fucking dagger.

What happened now?

Lets just say you can trust him to make a deal, but not a promise. And vengeance is the mistake that keeps on giving.

Is this about Dean Winchester?

No, but I can see how it could have been. I gave up on Dean four seasons ago, though.

Could've been Castiel too.

True. But I wasn't exactly surprised. It was perfectly in-character. He was never really sorry for the things he did and for manipulating everyone. He had Neil more recently as the positive influence in his life, but now Neil is dead. Belle loves him either way, so while sometimes she can bring out his good side she can't keep him from resisting those urges.

Personally, I loved the episode. I loved that everything came full circle for Regina and that she made the right choices. Her not choosing revenge was a big step. And Rumple, on the other hand, not being able to resist totally made sense story-wise and character-wise.

Don't worry, I'm certain fate will be along to kick Rumpelstiltskin in the nuts repeatedly soon enough. Probably in the form of Belle needing to call for help using the dagger and her getting hurt or possibly killed, with just enough time to realize he'd betrayed her and her to call him out when he shows up too late to save her before she dies.

Then the time-travel spell will kick in, playing kick-the-can with the emotional consequences of his actions until next season. It's totally in character for him to do this, especially since there's never been time for him and Belle to sit down and actually talk, and knowing Kitsis and Horowitz, there never will be. It would cut down on the *omg drama!* too much.

I'm just hoping they don't have a repeat of the last time this happened, with her finding out, yelling at him, and leaving, followed by him doing something sweet and telling her the truth so she takes him back. But the only alternative I can see is her leaving him permanently, and I don't want that to happen either. His moral development needs to stop being a result of her ultimatums and start coming from him.

Also, if they're really doing a damn reset button, does this mean we'll get angry teen Bae back, so he can yell at Hook for selling him to Pan? Preferably where Emma can hear? And while I'm dreaming, Emma and Hook can go to sparkly Rumpelstiltskin for help. Aside from wanting to see Emma's reaction to his sparkly giggly insanity since season 1, I really want Rumpelstiltskin and Hook to have another sword fight. And for Rumpelstiltskin to mention the whole "you told me my wife was going to be gang-raped to death if I didn't fight you when I couldn't even walk" thing in front of Emma.

If Emma and Killian are really going to end up as lovers (I hope not happily married true loves, though, they don't suit at all and I'd rather she stayed single in the end), she needs to know how and why that feud started, and it was with Hook attacking a crippled peasant, not the insanely powerful sorcerer she knows.

If ALL of that can be shown to Emma, I will BE A HAPPY CAMPER.

And yes, please bring Neal back. D:

I haven't watched since the episode before he died. B/ Plus, I hate how the Wicked Witch looks. Just..no. That red hair is not working.

Something I'm getting sick of in series television? "Tahiti." Take the fucking gun off the fucking mantel and pull the fucking trigger. The same goes for how most love interests are developed.

This also applies to Downton Abbey's Thomas Barrow. I wanted to like him and I thought his petty vindictive ways were somehow understandable considering being gay during a time when that could land you in jail was pretty shitty and the way he was so unlucky with his love interests was kind of tragic (especially in season 2). But when every little bit of character development he got kept getting retconned and he kept doing stupid shit that backfired over and over again I lost all sympathy for him and now he's just plain annoying.

Why stop at fictional chatacters? I feel this way about real people all the time! I've had to cut people out of my life because of that kind of crap.
