Why 12? I only know of it because of a podcast I listen to (I am 25).And none of my coworkers (30 yo to 40 yo) knew what it was.

I am only familiar with SPN (idk who the other dude is) but I sympathize with wanting crossovers. I've wanted some weird crossovers in my day, and generally been disappointed.

I dunno. When I see misunderstandings in comment threads, it has a lot to do with the fact that some people simply do not express themselves well. You post a garbled, ambiguous secret, there's going to be people who don't get your point. That's just how it is. I guess it's possible you're right and people are doing it on purpose, but... ehhhh, sorry. I've seen too many people who aren't aware of how poorly they communicate and they get all frustrated because they think it's everyone else who's the real problem.

But either way, if you're not happy with the dynamics of a community and you no longer enjoy it, finding another community that suits you better is a sensible option.

I stopped caring about "pedophilic" fic after people made the accusation regarding Rapunzel/Flynn--two adults who are married. I'd sooner complain about the actual pedos in fandom (like that one a few secret posts back who encouraged young fans to flirt with adults and later started some kind of suicide cult.)

Yet again depiction does not equal endorsement, nor does fangirling.

Though there certainly are plenty to whom Snape is a perfect woobie who did nothing wrong, but that's not the majority of Snape fans. Do I find him interesting and compelling? Yes. Do I think he's a generally horrible person? Also yes.

I'm not really a big Harry Potter fan, so maybe someone can clue me in on how Snape "fiscally" abused his students. Credit card fraud? Burdensome student loans? Unreasonably high fees for textbooks?

This is pretty low-key, because I don't know that many people who have funds to throw away, but my current roommate.
She eats off paper even though she has perfectly good dishes. She makes lots of fancy foods, only to leave it sitting out until it spoils and then throws it away. She goes through paper towels like toilet paper and uses them for everything. She generates SO MUCH TRASH. I can't help but think how much money is being wasted on all this stuff.

Well if you want Heathers with music there is a musical based off the original movie (and it's amazing BTW.)
