Yeah I'm ok with that. There are like 3-4 different Japanese Death Note movies in existence already, so an American version would be interesting. Maybe add some black or latino characters, but I'm ok with a mostly white cast for this film.

Dammit I just imagined John Leguizamo as Masuda and now I'm laughing. I'm 90% sure he's too old for the role but he could play it really well, even when Masuda gets super serious near the end.
