He doesn't prepare or show up for the Punisher case in S2, which he pushed for them to take, and left his co-counsel in the lurch. Step One of 'Being a Decent Lawyer' is 'Be At The Courthouse On Time.'

To be fair, he was under duress and being manipulated by an abusive ex in that season. If Elektra wasn't involved, he would have been fine.

There was no stage at which he couldn't have told Foggy and Karen about Elektra! Sure she and Stick were manipulating him, but he made everything 1000 times worse by lying to everyone.

Absolutely true that he made it so much worse by lying but given that that's his default setting and how complicated she made things, I'm not surprised he didn't. He SHOULD have, but it's in-character for him to try and deal with it himself (and fail miserably, of course).

matt's not the one who pushed them into taking the case in the first place and whatever he and elektra were doing at night (which he willingly joined her for, by the way) didn't have to interfere with his day job but go off i guess
