no i'm with you, i LOVE friends-to-lovers as a romance trope but there still really aren't enough m+f friendships out there in media. sure there are some, and i do love those, but it's a lot rarer than it should be to see a man and woman, who love one another completely but aren't together... because neither of them want that.

they're not 'unavailable' due to already being in a romance, they don't have 'complicated feelings' for one another, they're not each others 'one that got away', they're just friends, who have always been friends and have no desire to change that.

ironically i feel like i'd end up shipping friendships like this, BUT, that doesn't mean they shouldn't exist more often than they do.

ramble aside: i basically agree with you OP.

I was literally thinking this exact thing when I read the secret! I was like, yeah, this would be good. And then I thought, "Lol, I'd probably end up shipping it."
