Probably not next year, but the year after I want go to Western Europe over Thanksgiving for two weeks. Really want to go to some Christmas Markets.

I know for sure I want to go to Berlin and Krakow (and Auschwitz). I have a list of about 12 other cities in that area that were recommended to me. Will have to narrow it down to 1-2.

having been to Auschwitz I suggest taking multiple tissues bc the atmosphere is very heavy and weighing

Yeah, we are trying to figure out if we should do it at the start of the trip or the end because of how bleak it will be. Both times have their pros and cons.

it was towards the tail end of the tours I was on so I had some time to relax afterwards and think about what happened during those years (though my tour guide put on boy in the striped pajamas which was...in poor taste. would've preferred the hangover)

When I went to Germany, we went to Dachau at the beginning which I liked because you can see how the country has transformed since WWII.
