Notes:
To the anon that wanted warnings on .gif secrets: I'm not sure how I could effectively implement that. For triggery or spoilery secrets, one could just not read the text, but for .gifs by the time you get to the warning, it's already moving in your field of vision. If you have a suggestion as to how it could be done without just linking the secret (it's not breaking any rules or containing porn or gore, so that wouldn't be fair), let me know. Putting it in the notes for now.

If the person is unattainable, like many of crushes, then I try not to show it. I don't feel like I'm a very open person when it comes to showing those types of feelings. So I don't feel like I'm that prone to acting like an idiot or mooning over people. I'm more inclined to just try to have casual conversations. But I feel like just striking up a conversation with someone will give me away. Like I said, I'm not very open about expressing romantic feelings, so I think I have some liberal ideas about what counts as "flirting." The consequence of that is that it's also hard for me to tell when other people are interested in me.
That said, ideally, I think you should act normal, but maybe a little more social and friendly if you're interested in something developing. Getting to know the person more casually at first can also help because it can give you an early heads up if it turns out they're already in a relationship or something.
