Sgt Calhoun was originally supposed to be male, and I think I like her because of it. Dory lacks for me the way Calhoun doesn't.

Calhoun isn't Pixar, though, so she doesn't count as a "Pixar Female".

Calhoun's entire character is the fact that she is a "lol badass chick who joke-insults her troops by calling them ladies lolol she's so unfeminine and that's awesome!"
Also she's just there to be a love interest for Felix. There was zero chemistry between these two. She just had to fall for him in the end because he was crazy about her.

Please. Do you really think if Calhoun had been male they would have made Felix female to have them be a couple in the end? Pffft.

Yeah, she totally doesn't lack at all.
