IDK if this is helpful but here goes'

I try and think if there is anything I could feasibly do to change whatever I'm worrying about for the better. If there is, do it. If there isn't, stop exacerbating the situation by stressing and instead either enjoy some last moments of relaxation or prepare to do what I can to handle the fallout.

Or I lie and tell myself I can worry and freak out after I've handled the situation. Then after I've done all I can I tell myself there's nothing I could do so I might as well let it go.

Or I remember the last time I worked myself up over nothing and how it felt when worst case scenario happened and I... dealt and everything was fine.

You're listening to the Dalai Lama - "If you have fear of some pain or suffering, consider whether there is anything you can do about it. If there is, then there is no need to worry about it. If there is nothing you can do, then there is also no need to worry."

LOLOL at the assumption that absolutely had to come from the Dolly Llama. Tell me more about how you know who people are listening to.
