As much as I am willing to casually defend the existence of SuperWhoLock fanfics... I rather agree with you. From what I've seen (since I avoid the usual places they hang around in) the fandom is a special kind of batshit that no one fandom could ever get on it's own (though I am willing to give ground on SPN, because that fandom's batshit is batshittier than most).

And I don't particularly think the fics work to well either - too many conflicting flavours.

This is why I only read fandom!secrets and don't do any of that other stuff. It's not just Superwhoever. It's ALL the fandoms. While most of you seem sane, there are too many nutbags out there that I don't want to deal with--but they're fun to laugh at! (Then they make me sad.)

I honestly can't believe people are patting themselves on the back for "winning" a fight with people who want to cross over huge fandoms together. (And I never thought that SuperWhoLock was even a fandom.) If those people want to cross huge fandoms together, you can't stop them, and the fact that there is Supernatural/Doctor Who/Hannibal fic in existence is proof of that.

And personally I believe Hannibal fandom is just as obnoxious as the fandoms for Supernatural, Doctor Who and BBC Sherlock. The fandom's in denial of it at this point, but I'm willing to bet there'll be some huge canon detail that will drive the fans mad in the future.

We've had our differences in the past, I know, and I hope that won't keep you from believing I have only your welfare in mind.

It's about this "Hannibal" show you've been trying to hang out with. It's new and popular and glamorous and edgy, and I think you're feeling attracted to it because it's the latest new thing. I'm not sure you understand what it is. It's about a serial killer who kills people, eats people, and induces people to eat other people. He is the protagonist.

I know you've been to some pretty dark places over the years, with betrayals and destruction of planets and catastrophic mistakes and some pretty impressive gore. I'm not saying you're not grown-up shows! But at the end of the day, you are traditional drama shows where the central characters try to be good and do good things. And there's nothing wrong with that! There's obviously a very large audience for things with sympathetic central characters.

I'm just afraid you're going to get in over your head. Take a few steps back, take a deep breath, and at least wait until the end of the season before you commit yourself. We can try to introduce you to some nice dramas you have more in common with!

I have a reasonable plausible head canon for how Supernatural, Teen Wolf, Doctor Who, Leverage, White Collar, and Torchwood crossover for me.

On that note...I don't know how SuperWhoLock works, because Sherlock doesn't fit in any bit of my head canon >_____> Plus, fans are crazy at the worst of times and I don't wanna step on toes trying to ask.

I still don't quite understand this. Some people are going to like some but not all, some people like the crossovers, some don't. There really shouldn't be anything more to it.

I also haven't really seen much of this kind of craziness even though I like/follow Sherlock and Supernatural, so that might be part of it.
