I just found out my grandmother is in the hospital and is going to need surgery. And I'm freaking out, especially because she's really frail and I'm terrified she isn't going to make it. We aren't even that close, but she is my only living grandparent and I don't want her to die. And I have to take my legal ethics exam on Saturday, so I need to study. But I can't focus on that.

Could I get some happy gifs from you guys or just things that could provide a brief distraction so I can get my focus back on studying?

So today was bi-monthly family supply run. I got up feeling a bit unpleasant in the stomach area but well enough to go. I figured OK! This is good. I'm not hungry at all so I'll just go in, get what's on my very short list(It was pretty much milk, bread and potatoes.), head home, put stuff away, and lay down for a bit. We get to the store I am in there for like 10 seconds and suddenly mysterious stomach aliment is gone, and I am starving. I bought so much snack food. I five different kinds of pop-tarts. FIVE KINDS OF POP-TARTS!!!! I don't even like pop-tarts that much. Two of them were some kind of peanut butter things I've never seen before, My brain was just like "YOU HAVE TO TRY THOSE!!!"

So I was amazing failure at not buying things today.

My arm still hurts BTW. Not as bad as yesterday, but I still get a nice little "fuck you" from it when ever I try to pick up a pencil.

What are some common fandom tropes/opinions that you can't stand?

Like many people, I hate love triangles. Well, it would be more accurate to say I hate romantic subplots period. Especially in action movies.

I also greatly dislike the "long lost family member suddenly appears." This is even more annoying when they end up being the key to killing the bad guy OR the bad guy.

I've been stuck with my sister and her boyfriend as flatmates for 15 months now. I have to give up hope they'll just break up and she'll send him off where he came from.

15 months of him gaslighting my brother because making fun of his OCD tendencies is hilarious, throwing away my food and my crockery, never washing his dishes but throwing a fit if I have to let a pan soak for a bit before scrubbing it, breaking the ground rules of "no pets whatsoever" with a freaking python and "no smoking in the common areas" with a whole gang of potheads, cultivating cannabis in his room--and I highly suspect, sell it to his friends--, inviting his friends to party every night of the week starting 11PM, having his drunk friends barge into my room in the middle of the night looking for the bathroom, chronically depriving me of sleep and basically making me live in anguish and fear...

I can't wait to finish studies and internships and get a real job with real paying money and get my own flat far far far away from this mess. That, if I don't break down before and end up killing either him in self-defense, or myself.
I swear, if my sister end up marrying him, I'll rather break a leg than attend the wedding. And I'll never ever let my sister come to my future hypothetical own flat as long as she keeps living with him. And I'll never come to visit her either.

tldr; Never live with your inlaws, it'll ruin your life.

I have about 150 followers, but I struggle to get questions sent to me. For a while I got them at a decent rate, but now I hardly see any. It's gotten very discouraging. What can I do to help with this?

Basically they're doing dubs a few weeks after the Japanese broadcast and are planning on simu-dubbing Psycho Pass 2 and some anime you've never heard of.

If you're not trolling or trying to pretend that you're multiple people, then why would IP logging on fs matter to you at all? This anon doesn't understand the level of butthurt some anons are expressing over this, which is starting to have a "the real bigots are people who discriminate against racists" vibe to it. If there is a good reason for people to be offended that their IP logging concerns are not being taken seriously, I'd love to hear it.

So, I'm currently applying to any job that moves in my area because lucky me didn't get funding for uni after all this semester. And I just managed to write a convincing letter of motivation explaining why directing theatre plays totally qualifies me to be a hotel receptionist. What's the craziest/most brazen thing you've ever done to get a job?
