9. I hate reading sci-fi (I'm talking frothing rage, here. I went to go see I, Robot, because I just knew it had Isaac Asimov rolling in his grave. It's totally one of my favourite movies.), but I love watching television shows, movies, and anime that are sci-fi.

11. DIRGE gave us the Hojo cow laugh (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rs5NRfZJLkY), and for that, it is forgiven.

OH MY GOD. ;____;

[identity profile] zhoutaisdayoff.livejournal.com 2007-02-10 12:28 am (UTC)(link)
11.) Shelke-hate, man! Luv up on the Reeve. Reeve makes DoC okay. =3

[identity profile] zhoutaisdayoff.livejournal.com 2007-02-10 02:03 am (UTC)(link)
Reeve made me happy. (and hearing Stephen Blum's voice made me happy too)

[identity profile] liltigre.livejournal.com 2007-02-10 02:16 am (UTC)(link)
AMEN. Reeve made DoC worth every second to me. I wanted to kill Shelke, though. And Yuffie, but I've hated Yuffie since the first game. Materia-stealing little bitch. (Bitch actually isn't my choice of work, but my real choice is really offensive. XD)

[identity profile] zhoutaisdayoff.livejournal.com 2007-02-10 02:19 am (UTC)(link)
I was hoping for some way to permenantly kill Shelke (and keep Shalua alive, Shalua was cool)

[09] I'm not much for the newer novels for sci-fi. Gimme Hitchhiker's and the Ghostwell series! Which I need to reread again since it's been ages.. need to get those from my father some time. Larry Niven's a good author when it comes to sci-fi, especially with his 'modern-day' version of Dante's Inferno. It was set in the sventies so it's not QUITE modern day.. oh man I'm rambling. :D;

[identity profile] liltigre.livejournal.com 2007-02-10 02:17 am (UTC)(link)
I'm not big on modern sci-fi either. Asimov and Heinlein are my preferences.

[identity profile] byewonderland.livejournal.com 2007-02-10 03:07 am (UTC)(link)
Asimov! It's been ages since I've picked up a novel by him; my father was my source for all sci-fi literature. I'll have to ask him one of these days if I can borrow a couple titles to read; I've been lacking lately in the reading material section.

1. Saying things may just make for more wank and some people I know are just so elitist. You can't get a word in edgewise if you like something they don't.

6. The secret isn't mine, but I've seen them last with some care and understanding. Wishing them luck!

[identity profile] zhoutaisdayoff.livejournal.com 2007-02-10 02:01 am (UTC)(link)
1.) I just recently got out of a pissing match with that. A 'friend' from Y!Gallery wanted to pimp off her blatant Marty Stu/Kanetsugu Naoe (Samurai Warriors 2 character) to me and even went the whole nine yards with the whole 'Mysterious Force turns Kanetsugu into a woman long enough for said Marty Stu to knock her up and have many babies' garbage. She got insanely pissed when I told her I wasn't buying any of it. Next time I try talking to her, it's like she blocks me from her IM and then disavows my existence. Dude, wtf?

[identity profile] grayout.livejournal.com 2007-02-10 02:05 am (UTC)(link)
*DIES* Oh god, he randomly turns into a woman for like 10 years and then turns back into a guy? That must've fucked with his head SO MUCH

[identity profile] zhoutaisdayoff.livejournal.com 2007-02-10 02:06 am (UTC)(link)
I didn't want to hear her explanation about that. Yech...

I know exactly how you feel there. It's the main reason I just smile and nod and act like I don't acknowledge what some of my friends do fandom-wise. There's some RudexReno stuff up on Y! -- okay, make that alot -- and I just can't tell them how much I hate it because they're my friends. ;_;

[identity profile] zhoutaisdayoff.livejournal.com 2007-02-10 03:58 am (UTC)(link)
Half the shit she threw out for me to try and swallow is so far-fetched and outlandish, even if the Marty Stu was a character from the game, it'd still make me go "Huh?!" And she gets pissy when I told her I didn't buy it.

[identity profile] klytaemnestra.livejournal.com 2007-02-10 04:04 am (UTC)(link)

2. Don't feel bad. Most cosplayers do it whether they realize they do it or not. It's privately a very competative thing, it's when you make that a public thing that it becomes a problem. I have a history of cosplaying characters that are often done really horribly by people and so I can't help but stalk around cosplay.com and nitpick at all the bad stuff. I would never, ever tell anyone to their face or even talk to others about it unless they were nitpicking with me to begin with, but yeah ... privately I do it a lot. A friend of mine recently started doing it because of me and my best friend doing it the last time he was down here. Though, honestly I have to say I snark more of the comments usually left on these pictures. A lot of people are ass kissing or just leave comments because they can or something, and yeah ... bad cosplay somehow still manages to get a lot of positive attention from people.

6. So have I. I wish I hadn't ... because it just caused me a lot of grief in the end. I suppose we were both channeling our RP characters or something and thought that we were attracted to each other because of it. Still to this day a part of me wishes it had worked out.

8. I do that. Seigfried Schtauffen share's my cat's birthday. Random, I know.

11. Reeve was the only redeeming quality. It's sad. I used to love the whole HojoxVincentxLucrecia dynamic.
