(Anonymous) 2016-03-05 01:08 am (UTC)(link)I am writing this electronic missive to express my dissatisfaction with your unwarranted, unsubstantiated judgement of how other people utilize the English language. While many people who converse at great length upon the medium known colloquially as "the internets" possess a noble and puissant appreciation of ornate language that plumbs the rich depths of language in a similar manner as the humpback whale immerses itself joyfully in its realm of the briny deep, there are some individuals who --and I say this with utmost respect and thorough reflection -- believe that brevity is indeed the soul of wit.
Therefore, even learned intellectuals who wield extensive vocabularies the way a samurai wields a katana might occasionally deign to magnanimously humor such discourse dillettantes (as they recognize not themselves as wretches, deprived of the delights of palaver and parlance such as we two are) by allowing such expressions that sum up all too neatly the sentiments felt by the speaker rather than communicating through the transcendent means of an essay, as God intended.
I remain your wordy brethren of longform prose,
