I don't like those fics and I almost never fantasize about my favorite characters sexually except with each other, not with me.

In my case it's not that I'm asexual, it's that I have such a hard time picturing anyone being attracted to me.

If I fantasize about anyone I have to think of some reason they are really desperate.

(Yeah, I know I sound pathetic and stupid.)

Pretty sure that's how it is for me, too. I sometimes wonder if I'm ace, because I've never very actively sought out sex and am not really unhappy with the fact that I (almost) never have it, but I lowkey think that it's just discomfort with my own presence in a sexual situation because "why would anyone want that, what's their angle, why are they desperate?" I do like smutty fic, for sure, though for a long time, I only really liked it for slash ships...proooobably because then I wasn't constantly comparing my own fucked up body to that of the woman involved. Yup.

(And yes, I'm sure I sound pathetic, too. I'm working on it.)
