I have seen videos of awesome looking blind people cosplaying.

I thought it was on Amazon, but I remembered wrong. Posting it anyway because I fucking love it. (It's the third review on this page, titled "Bad Ass")

Years ago there was a reviewer who went under the moniker FredDurstsNumba1Fan or something like that. He would leave these idiotic reviews on metal albums for not meeting his standards of what metal was (usually Limp Bizkit and Clay Aiken.) Personal favourite line: "Where is the insane rhymes and guest rappers?" on a review of an Opeth album.

It was so obviously someone having a laugh (because really, who would even LOOK at half the albums he reviewed?) that whenever I see reviews like this one I assume it's someone trolling for a joke.

There are a bunch of personal blogs I follow on Tumblr guilty of this. Seems like it's either over the top, skittles raining from the sky, delirious joy over fandom or frothing at the mouth hate. I thought the show was kind of okay- that sort of thing you watch without taking it seriously, but the fans' toxic online presence kind of dissuaded me from watching after season two.

Oh shit, there's a Spring Awakening musical? I need this in my life.

The reason why I don't think she'd be doing anything while pregnant is that her hair is super long. She cut it because it got in the way of her doing her missions. If she's grown it out again...doesn't come off as a good sign.

I may not think the show deserves an emmy, but I find a lot of the criticisms annoying too--possibly because I don't think I take it as seriously as some people. I mean, I'll keep watching at least as long as the Coach and the male cast's abs are in it.

My personal least favourite criticism is from those who think there isn't enough angst. Personally I felt there was just the right amount, but apparently some fans really want to see the semi-goofy werewolf show tackle depression, mourning over dead cast members and PTSD and whatnot for seasons on end, when there's always plenty of fanfiction for that.

(As long as you like Sterek. The prevelance of which I consider a far greater mystery than the whining. Unless the whining is about why there isn't more Sterek).

Any review for The Princess Bride (the book, not the movie) where people yell at Amazon for not stocking the original book and only having the abridged version. (For those unfamiliar, there is no "original." It's a book that pretends to be the "good parts" from a dense and complex political satire of the author's father's homeland, and as much as the "abridger" never breaks character it's still an obvious joke.)

This one isn't an Amazon review, but among the many idiocies of my local paper's former film critic was his review of Galaxy Quest, in which he complained that Tim Allen was hamming everything up and Alan Rickman was acting like he didn't want to be there.

I'd like to see Stars sticking closer to the manga, too (I WANNA SEE HEAVY METAL PAPILLON ANIMATED) but Dream is my favorite so I'm crossing my fingers there's enough interest for more seasons.

well, i could have worded that better, true, but it's not restricted to acting and writing. there's also things like translation, dubbing, historical accuracy, consistency, and a lot of other things that are harder to spot than just poor general quality.

and when i think something i've seen was subpar, i like to check if other people think the same. even when it's a thing i like.
