25) the problem is, people would ask these artists whether they could use them. Often they were japanese, and wouldn't get a response. Now, I have several japanese pen pals, so yeah, just because fangirls are like WAIII SUGOI JAPANESECHAAAAN doesn't mean that Japanese ppl are automatically like "omg im better than you white ppl", it's just that more often than not these really popular fanartists don't have time to answer all the emails they get. Silence is a NO. If you do not get a YES GO AHEAD it is a NO... but people decided they were just being stuck up and started using them anyway. I've heard such excuses as "Well, i went through the trouble of [running shit through Altavista] getting it translated they could at least respond" but... ppl and their special snowflake complexes
