Apparently the creative team behind it thought that that kind of relationship between the two would make things interesting, but then the bigwigs nixed it. It would seem that in some versions of the captioning there are still lines like "Dinner is served, dear!" etc.

Chel is badass, though. That woman knows what she wants and GETS it, damn it! D:<
