I maintain that there's nothing wrong with getting interested in History THANKS to a movie (I only know anything about the middle east during the early 20th century because I love Lawrence of Arabia), but ugh. There are few things as frustrating as having conversations with people who are sparkly eyed over Hollywood productions and just... well, you obviously know exactly what I mean since you wrote this secret. UGH especially on the decades old misinterpretations of Egyptian and Greek society.
