XD I'm french so I immediately got the "red lamp" thing (I dunno where you got the "shady" part from tho), but even if the names make me laugh and cringe I think it's an appeal of the serie, for me anyway (it's easier to remember those names :P). You don't have to take the serie too seriously to like it anyway~
