I cannot vouch for its veracity, but yesterday I watched part of a documentary on TV that went on about how Jesus Christ was in fathered by a soldier nicknamed The Panther (unfortunately, the product of a rape), how Mary Magdalene was a pagan priestess who abandoned her beliefs because she fell in love with him, they had two kids together (one of whom was named Maximus) and apparently the crosses where people were crucified by Romans were in the shape of X's, not T's, which became mainstream representation after the vision Emperor Constantine had right before he converted to Christianity.
