I don't think it's that people don't care about them. It's that everyone knows when and where they died. For some reason, over time, there was the hope that Anastasia had escaped - not because of Anastasia herself, but because people wanted to believe that someone escaped the slaughter. Unfortunately, that was obviously not the case.

Or only go to TV years later when everyone else has already moved on.

Sorry for the late reply, but thank you so much for all of your recs! I'll definitely be getting started on some of these over the weekend. And thanks for mentioning the ffnet thing. I was about to go trawling through it because, as you said, a lot of older fandoms have some good fic on it, but I'm glad that I don't need to bother now.

Not to mention that some of the alternatives anon talks about aren't available everywhere.

I'm in Europe. Thanks to regional lockout and general rights issues some stuff are just plain unavailable (like most streaming sites) or take a long time to get here (most video games). Sure, I could import, but importing stuff is ridiculously expensive here and most of the money won't go to the creators anyway so why bother? And that's assuming it's available for import in the first place.

Though judging from their other replies I'm half-expecting them to start ranting about those darn kids not spending more time outside.

If you want me to give more info on any of these stories, I'll keep an eye on this comment and I'll be happy to copy-paste the list again and elaborate a little on the lengths/genres/authors/premises of the stories there -- I was in a hurry to finish the list last night because it was getting late ;)

Also, just so you know -- if, by any chance, you find that banner on starskyhutcharchive.net too hideous and distracting (like I did), you can just change the skin to something more subdued, like the "zebra" one (and if you make an account, you can stay logged in to keep it changed -- plus it's helpful for reviews, collecting favorites, etc).

Absolutely! There are the 'big' moments when something serious is going on, and everything else in between that shows how their relationship develops.

I can't help much with the first one, but I've seen at least a few fics about brainwashed!Harry.

Wow, thanks anon! I haven't read either of these, and I'm not sure I've even seen either of these! (Which I almost feel is an accomplishment, considering how much time I've seen in the Kingsman tag on AO3.)

They both look great! And I'm doubly surprised that I haven't seen the second one because I've read (and loved, and rec'd) two of that authors fics! (I didn't even realize they were by the same person. Now I have to read all their stuff.)

<3 Glad I could help! It's funny how some fics manage to slip past you, even if you spend a lot of time on AO3. (I saw at least one more brainwashed Harry fic when I was finding the URLs for these that is never seen before either!) Don't worry about fic recs - I've actually found a bunch of fics from other posts you've made before this, so I was happy I could return the favor!

It is funny, yea! I mean, at one point (quite a while ago, maybe a month or so after I had got into the fandom) I had went through every page of Harry/Eggsy fic on AO3. Not read all of them of course, but just the stuff that sounded like it would interest me. The fandom seemed to explode even more after that and despite going through so much fic I'm still finding things that I like and missed.

AO3 can be a bit of a bottomless pit, lol.

That pleases me! I didn't think my Kingsman recs were much use to anyone on f!s, so I'm glad that's not the case. (Did I link you to my fanfic/fanvid tumblr post? You've probably read everything on it, but I'll link you if want.)

Yep, this. She's beautiful, no doubt. I don't know if she's an SJW or not. But her behavior on the bake off was cringey in the extreme and if she's off on twitter touting herself as a feminist after using sad puppy eyes and tears to cover for her messy, unappetizing bakes, that's pretty funny.

While I agree with this to a certain extent, surely the fact that he IS a guy dressed as a girl is the main reason the show actually gets the audience it does. There are other shows with adults dressing up a s schoolgirls who are complete twonks (Home and Away, Neighbours, etc.) that don't draw anything like the attention Lilley's shows do.
