The main games of the series are really RE, RE2, RE3, RE: Code Veronica and RE0 before 4. For the first game, there's the original Director's Cut (Playstation), there's Deadly Silence, which is basically the original game ported to the DS with some extras, and then there's the remake of 1 for Gamecube. I like the original and remake though, so I can't rec which one to go for since the original was just so ... magical in its own "hey, first game ever!" way, but the remake has added storyline that comes up in UC and other places. XD RE2 has ports for ... man there's Playstation, the 64, and I think a computer game version? RE3 also is for Playstation, but there's a rerelease for the Gamecube as well, and I think a computer game? Code Veronica is mainly for the PS2 I think, unless you have a Dreamcast, which is what it originally came out for. And 0 is Gamecube only. (I still have yet to beat 0 myself though T_T) You CAN find about all of them on amazon, but their prices vary, depending.
