BUT --

I -- I CAN'T. I mean -- here, let me explain:

After Infinite Crisis there were like, four different Tims - one in each book he appeared in, and they were all COMPLETELY DIFFERENT. And I even tried to rationalize that! But I still feel like Tim as he's written in the current Teen Titans run is so completely out of character the book has become almost unreadable for me. It makes me so glad I can just go to my long boxes and flip through Young Justice and then go through the earlier Titans runs and through War Drums and the War Crimes books - and even Identity Crisis (which was not a great story outside of what happened to Timmy, let's be honest) - and Hush and hell, just other backissues of Robin and it reminds me that, you know, he'll be himself again eventually. It's just that I feel like there's a huge difference between developing character - don't get me wrong, he's changed more than a little since the 80's - and, well, just-plain-OOC behavior.

Though admittedly, I am all for Tim and Lex being BFF business associates, I just don't think it would've gone down that way. At least Robin is a truly enjoyable book and I FUCKING LOVE that it and Teen Titans have no bearing on each other whatsoever. As a book, Robin's just kind of like, 'Yeah, I don't know what you're trying to do, but I think you're LAME so I'm going to go fall asleep on a roller coaster now, kay?' ♥

Er, TLDR:

I mean, if I'm going to be picky about which arcs of continuity I think jive with my understanding of the character, I should be able to do the same with fic, right?

xD I was just so happy to see his logo I just kind of went type-crazy. Hoo boy. I almost wrote "happy to see his Lobo," WTF LOL
