The other episode is actually far more of a personal experience for me. While I've had friends die, I actually did eventually lose my mother due to complications from kidney failure. The woman in the episode had the same.

Scrubs does have an amazing way of making you crack the hell up and bawl horribly all at once, doesn't it?
