Yup, your issue is my issue: Spiderman was completely shoe-horned in and out of place and the characters I wanted to see get some fleshed out interactions didn't get it and it felt almost... empty in places because of that.
It's definitely Avengers 3 in my head and I think what bugs me more is that there was a lot of 'don't worry it's still a Cap movie' from Marvel and well, that wasn't true so it's made me somewhat bitter about the whole thing. Yeah TWS allowed for some really nice intimate character building scenes and CW just didn't allow for that because it was so rammed full.
Ha see, do I get excited for Black Panther or quash it all because what if it's shit? (Though since it's his first movie he should get a lot of breathing room, it's the 2nd and 3rd installments I've got to worry about on that front). But yeah I really enjoyed him and it's because he got an actual arc in the movie, my Cap faves just kind of meandered around for 2 hours imo. :/
