26) I'll rise to the trollery: No no no, dude the analogy doesn't hold up. We hate people who write slash but are homophobes, not because they write slash, but because they are homophobes. We'd hate them just as much if they didn't write slash. In fact, I'd much rather these people hate slash and embrace homosexuality as a healthy, normal sexual orientation, because what you do in RL trumps whatever the hell you write in fiction every single time. Fiction? Whether it be rapefic, or slash, or whatever the hell, ultimately it doesn't matter. Real homophobia affects real people in a really bad way.

TL;DR: They are doing it wrong.

LOL I know I'm like, hours late to the post but... yeah :x. I think that interview was actually good. I mean, they admitted they implied House/Wilson! That made my day.

That post was strangely... people over-reacted, I think. I choose to think everyone was like that because tomorrow's the big day, cause I don't want to lose faith in the fandom. IDK.

16. The jokes for the old LucasArts one were pretty easy for me to understand.. But for the newer ones, playing them in order is definitely the way to go. (For instance, I played Ice Station Santa before playing any of Season One, so some of the inside jokes were over my head.) I would give it a shot, even if you end up not liking it, at least you tried. ^^ (And there are lots of other p+cadventures out there ready to be given a try.)

Aren't most/all protagonists in fairy tales and their retellings? And if you like the books anyway, I'd think that would indicate they're at least well-done in spite of the S(t)ue-ness. Fic won't be as kind.

1- Aqua is like instant happy sauce.

3- As someone who feel that is probably to me the best part, there IS worthwhile after that (Uhmm...past the chuunin though XP)

26- I noticed that to, but I think the problem is that the liking slash but homosexual is the only real example for the first, and people are more reacting to the fact that Homophobia is bad period. It just happens to be an added layer that the person likes it in fiction. (And I would assume most people who like rape fictionally realize it's bad period as well) It's a very interesting thing tho, I'd be interested in debating it somewhere where it won't turn into like...lolcats.

42- And a lot of people do like it. Don't like it? Avoid it. I don't like bara but don't act like it's not something that has a place in this world because there are people who do like it, and would never say anything because what other people like isn't my business and, generally speaking, I'm not gonna go piss in their sandbox. You're not a homophobe, you're an asshole who's assuming that YOUR taste should be everyone's and getting butt hurt it's not.

Geeze, it bother me enough when I do it with couples and at least that's specific, how can it not annoy the fuck out of you that you get so petty over someone large preference? It's like the fandom equivalent of being angry that someone likes the color red, or sushi, or rock music.

Or people like me who don't want either character to be in a romantic relationship, and just have subtext. But still would be overjoyed for canon H/W if it happened

Ugh, agreed. I'm a fan of both Rossiu and Suzaku, and the hate they get in fandom is completely out of proportion to what they actually do in the show. They have differing methods/opinions from the main characters, and are obviously emotionally close to said characters (Simon forgave Rossiu and even BROKE TIME to save him, for fuck's sake), but apparently in fandom it all translates to OMGEVILHATE BASHBASHBASHBASHRANTRANT RAAAAAAGH. >

house_wilson saying something about how the show isn't going to have a chapter with House and Wilson coming out of the closet together, and how it might be better to keep that in fanfiction.

Some people were thinking that meant H/W was never going to happen. There was some disagreement... some things from past posts came up and... wank. You know. It wasn't that bad, I think the comm has seen worse, but it was kinda wanky anyway. You should check the interviews, they were pretty cool (apparently now H/W are well known for having 'flirtatious conversations on elevators' :D♥).

Well, I was gonna read the manga anyway, but now I have 1672343x the reason to now.

Suzaku is actually BETTER in R2. He was annoying and retarded in the first season.

Being a douchebag asshole might make his character actually likable. For me at least.
