Not "outwardly submissive," no, but neither is Ishida. I couldn't really think of a phrase that I wanted to use that fit, really, and that bugged me a lot. I really just meant the quieter, somewhat shy/sensitive characters, but I didn't know how to word that correctly (and that still doesn't fit). You do know what I mean, though, right?

I just used a picture of the footwashing scene 'cause I needed a picture that showed what I was trying to say - I didn't even watch the anime. :/
