Oh, boy, I hope I'm not going to need a tissue for this. Firstly, a handful of overzealous fans doesn't make all fans of the pairing into retards. Secondly, yes, I ship it myself, but I don't consider the pairing canon. Just to show that not all the fans should be painted with the same brush. =/

To be honest, though, I don't see what's wrong with shipping a non-canon couple and admitting it's not canon. Shouldn't the fact that a fan enjoys the pairing they ship be all the justification they need, instead of making themselves and the ship look worse by making it out to be something it's not?
