I don't icon her specifically, but I do icon within that fandom and others, and iconmakers tend to screw around with contrast, coloring, and lighting such that EVERYONE tends to look more high-contrast and unnaturally colored. It's usually not about making the person look different so much as it is making a color scheme look pretty. It still looks weird, but it's probably not on purpose because she's black or anything.
