11: That's a dude. THAT'S A DUDE.

31: IKR??? For fuck's sake.

12: Ugh I'm glad you're keeping this secret, cause I'd beat you with my internet mace if you revealed who you are.

Also -- no one wants to go with the Master? Fine. More asploding and pime taradoxes and time sex for me.

... I never even said that I hate Conyuu fans... I was just pointing out some facts...

Re: 19

[identity profile] mikagechan.livejournal.com 2008-05-26 01:28 am (UTC)(link)
Maybe you should go back and read the secret carefully. I don't believe the poster was saying that he or she hates all Conyuu fans, just making a generalization about how a majority of them act, which turns him or her off when having to deal with them.

Re: 19

[identity profile] mikagechan.livejournal.com 2008-05-26 01:30 am (UTC)(link)
Well, jee, sorry for being nice and trying to see where the poster is coming from. As someone who's actually in the fandom I can sorta understand and see what he or she is talking about, even if I don't agree with it completely.

I freaking love Lake Placid. <3

Point = missed

(Anonymous) 2008-05-26 01:31 am (UTC)(link)
(The OP, not you, dear Anon.)

The point isn't so much to get all the members of the religion massive con game to realise that what they're doing is fucking retarded and leave. The point to to draw attention to the murdering for-profit non-profit, and if you want to draw attention, what better way than by making a spectacle of yourself?

48. Please don't be afraid. You are not alone. In fandom, you will find people who like everything. I know it's the sterotype and common complaint that "gen gets no love," but I've written genfics that have been read and reviewed. I also have made many gen fanarts that have gotten love. I've found people to disscuss the purely gen asepects of favorite series with, too. (I mean, the last really big message board conversation I remember having in my fandom: We were disscussing the zoology/ecology of a fictional desert planet. No pairings in sight).

I know what you mean - a look in any corner of general fandom (this place for instance) gives the strong impression of fandom being a hormone-laden territory, but you'll find corners and other people who aren't into it as much if you look. I'd say "speak up" too, but you have to be careful in how you go about that since it's such sensitive territory for many people.

I'd also suggest maybe trying to write stuff that don't rub your personal convictions the wrong way just to be read/fit in. I've found when I try to do that, the quality of my writing inevitably suffers. Branch out and start writing the stuff you really *want* to write and you may be surprised at the readership you'll get. In any case, you'll have written something that *you* really want to read.

You have Sailor Saturn, Death Note, and Cowboy Bebop figurines?

....will you marry me?

I don't know. Why don't you tell me. :D

And in anime, for girls especially.. HOW many 'large' female characters are there? You're pigeonholing an entire group of people in cosplaying one or two characters.

HE'S A DEMON ON WHEELS~

This secret ftw \o/

[identity profile] karma-kalisutah.livejournal.com 2008-05-26 01:39 am (UTC)(link)
I agree with this comment. Especially since, as much as I love Rose, Donna is already more awesome than she ever was. And Ace still owns everyone.

[identity profile] callmejude.livejournal.com 2008-05-26 01:40 am (UTC)(link)
01. Damnit, I made this big point of making a comment for this when I read it, and then I forgot it even after re-commenting THREE TIMES.

I hate when people do this. So much. Because they're just fishing for compliments they usually don't deserve and it's usually just as bad as they were acting they thought it was. I sometimes put a comment at the end of my stories, you know, in those little author notes that no one reads, like "this didn't turn out as well as I was expecting, but I liked it," or "it went better in my head, blarg, I need a beta," and even then I'm thinking that I'm whining and being being annoying. XD

I know, it was seriously the most fun I've had in some time! I mean--- what? Suddenly a mind-numbingly fun film isn't good? Isn't fun what we go to the films for?

Re: 25

[identity profile] runawayblue.livejournal.com 2008-05-26 01:44 am (UTC)(link)
I didn't but I'm seriously considering it. IMAX is a bit of a drive from where I live, though :<

WORD it was so awesome.

13. OK jesus christ, that it completely unreadable. It is impossible to make out the fucking text.

I'm going to give you a quick and dirty lesson in making your text-heavy secrets readable:

1. Create secret in Photoshop.

2. Rasterize the text layer.

3. Right-click on the layer, and go to 'layer style'.

4. Set up a drop shadow or outer glow as the layer style.

PRESTO, YOUR TEXT IS NOW DISTINGUISHABLE FROM THE BACKGROUND.

Even a moron can follow these simple steps.

33 kg = about 73 lbs
144 cm = about 57 inches, or 4'9"

so I got her BMI as 15.8. *shrug*

Re: 25

[identity profile] runawayblue.livejournal.com 2008-05-26 01:45 am (UTC)(link)
Alright, two thumbs up!

I can't belive it either! It's so weird. Almost everyone I know who has seen it liked it, so... I don't know what's going on here!

He's busy revvin' up the powerful Mach 5!

um...if you are taller than...4'8"...eat something...
that's just not healthy...

05 I think they've done pretty well with the merchandise! We had a hardware store that sold them too, and I boughta t-shirt some time back, but I think everything is gone now. Boo.

I love Corner Gas like nobody's business, though!

Another reason to hate Rukia, then. 33 kgs at 114cm would put her BMI at, like... 16. Anything under 18 is underweight, unless she's under 15 years old.

... sounds like subtle loli-bait to me.
