I never would have shipped it if it hadn't been for the last episode, and at first I was like "WTF?!" too, but then I started seeing how it built up to that and I couldn't unsee it. I mean, JFK was a sexist ass, but he always thought Joan was hot even though she was "weird," and I think he actually LIKED her, not just her body. So yeah, I concur.
