I find electric saws highly unnerving. If you accidentally cut someone with a knife, you can stop cutting pretty quickly, but an electric saw will just keep cutting until you can turn it off. I suppose Sawblade would be a decent '90s antihero. (There's also Buzzsaw, but that sounds more like a He-Man character.)
